The Independent Centre for Applied Not-for-Profit Research (ICANR) was established in 2016 in response to a growing need for independent, accurate and timely information on the interface between the Not-for-Profit sector, government, other funders, the For-Profit sector and services users.

In Feb 2018, the Dr Karen Knight from the Independent Centre for Applied Not-for-Profit Research (ICANR) approached Paul Dickson to create a website for their Not for Profit organisation. ICANR had already developed their logo and branding but needed a web designer to create a online business website.

ICANR required a small website to be constructed showcasing the interface between the Not-for-Profit sector, Government and other service users. WordPress was chosen as the Content Management System of choice as the client was familiar with managing the administration area. This website package would qualify as a Personal WordPress CMS Package.

The challenge would be to get the ICANR Project finished within the estimated 4-6 week time frame.

ICANR had no web presence and no way of showcasing the aims of the research centre. By investing in a small website we were able to provide more information about the organisation via the World Wide Web.

The solution was to build a whole WordPress Website from scratch using the Total Theme which the client had previously used and was familiar with.
